Making a wonderful food gift basket can be as easy as going down to your favorite market, and picking out some fresh fruit, cheeses, and nuts. Just pick 2 of each fruit, a couple chesses and a nice container of nuts. Don’t forget to pick out the ones your receiver likes best. Then put them in a beautiful basket, it may have a handle or not. Now you need to decorate your gift, just like when you are wrapping a package for a gift and you pick out petty paper and a bow. You need to do the same for your food basket. Presentation is half the fun, perhaps some pretty see through cellophane wrapping with some ribbons, and bows. What’s their favorite color? You can even add some flowers. And don’t forget the card, you can add any kind of message you want to on the card, don’t forget to sign your name so they will be sure to know who sent them this wonderful gift. If you are short on time you can always order a food basket online of from many stores in your area. You can choose what you want them to put in the baskets, perhaps some English teas and cookies. If your receiver is a pasta nut you could add tri colored pasta noodles, sauce, and garlic, cheese, and bread sticks. If you place these in a colander as your basket, then your Italian chief is all set. You could even add a bottle of wine. Many places will make food baskets for you that are just as beautiful and thoughtful as one you would make yourself if you had the time. But remember if this is during a national holiday time they will be very busy so place your order early. And if you are mailing this basket check the schedules for the post office or courier service. And for you real creative people you could make a basket with all your own homemade favorites, like your famous chocolate chips cookies, already baked or just the mix so they just mix and bake when they are ready to eat them. And what about your scrumptrus apple pie or mouth watering banana nut bread. Your own home made jellies, jams or toppings. If your receiver is a busy person who doesn’t get homecooked foods very often they will really love this gift. If your basket contains mixes be sure to add directions so they will taste almost as good as yours. You can put anything in a food gift basket, so use your imagination, and be creative. Just think about what kinds of things the other person likes and go from there. Food gift baskets are quickly becoming the IN thing for gift giving. Food gift baskets that are tailored to the tastes of your receiver, that contain your own finishing touches, will make your gift the most talked about for months to come. Weather you make it yourself or order a food gift basket it is always a warm and welcomed gift to receive.
