Response from Mortgage Company – No Luck

A while back, after I had purchased a letter from www.invisible-inc-writers.com to our mortgage company, I’d sent the letter to our mortgage company in response to their notice of foreclosure.

In part, the important parts of the letter to our mortgage company read:

“The only option that I can see in the near future is bankruptcy, and that is an option that I want to avoid at all cost. I believe strongly in honoring all agreements and I am confident that I can meet these obligations with your support.

I would like to request revised mortgage terms that I can afford. We could afford a 30 year fixed rate loan at current market interest rates, but right now the variable portion of our mortgage adds over $300 to the monthly payment.”

Today, we received an answer back from our mortgage company – and they refuse to budge.

The letter was full of standard lines like:

“We are not able to modify your mortgage terms without going through a standard refinancing option; however your credit score will not allow such a restructuring of your loan at this time.”

However, given our recent tax refund check – we may be able to save the house now, but only if we can make the payment quickly enough.

Another potential saving grace is the fact that a bunch of Cindy’s Ebay items are coming due this week – and if sales are good, we may be due for another bit of income. We’re hoping for that – because with what will be left of our tax refund for the mortgage payment, all we need is about $300 more and we’ll be able to pay off the delinquent amount on the mortgage, and at least save us from losing our house.

All we can do right now is to hope that Ebay does well. In my upcoming blog entry, I’ll be posting images of the items she’s sold and what they sold for….let’s just hope that we are able to sell the items for a lot! At least they are just items that she has laid around the house, so there’s not really anything to lose, and only money to gain.

Thank god for Ebay!
