Selling Household Items on Ebay

This week Cindy went around the whole house and tried to find as many items as she could that we simply don’t need anymore. By the time I got home from work, she had accumulated a huge pile of stuff on the kitchen table, I couldn’t believe it!

In this entry, I’m going to go through some of the items that she found, and I’m going to estimate what I believe they’ll sell for – some of this stuff I consider worthless! But Cindy seems to think that we can make a few bucks off of it…so I guess we’ll see.

Braun Blender

Cindy found this sitting in the back of our bedroom closet, where it’s been sitting since last Christmas. We have a blender, and got this from her parents. Personally, I don’t know why anyone would want to buy a simple blender on Ebay. My Estimated Value: $5.00

Women’s Nike Air Tennis Shoes

Okay…this is pretty low. Cindy wants to sell a used pair of Tennis shoes. Personally, I think that’s pretty gross – but she seems to think that a lot of women out there don’t mind if the shoes are hardly used. She bought these a year ago when she was getting into tennis, and then gave it up. These ended up building dust at the bottom of her closet. Her feet were in these things at least three times. And they were sweaty! Would anyone buy these?? My Estimated Value: $2.00

12 Red Rose Tea Wade Figurines

For years, Cindy used to collect these things. Then, once she had collected a complete set of these 12 nursery rhyme figurines, she put them in a box and stored them away. Now she’s willing to sell them. I’m not sure if these little things are collectible anymore or not – but I guess it’s worth a try. My Estimated Value: $10.00

Cindy’s going to test the Ebay waters this week with these three items to see how they sell. If she can make any kind of decent income from these, she might actually have found a way to make money from home.

As wonderful as that sounds, I have to admit that I’m not terribly hopeful. Just looking at the items above – I can’t imagine why anyone would want to purchase any of these. All we can do is wait and see – one should never give up hope before even trying.
