Ebay – One of the Best Sources of Income in the World

This week – ten items that Cindy was selling on Ebay finally sold. Most sold for about $9.99 and up, but considering these were items just sitting around the house, it really adds up!
Cindy posted all of them last week, and they all went up for sale on Monday evening. I was expecting that none of them would sell – or maybe one or two at the starting price of $9.99. But on a few of the items she listed, I was pleasantly surprised.
I’ll list the items that she sold this week here – Cindy and I just started laughing when we saw what some people were willing to pay for some of these things.
Braun Blender – Cindy started this listing at $9.99 and it sold for $26.49.
Nike Air Tennis Shoes – Cindy started these at $9.99 and they sold for $17.00.
12 Wade Figurine Nursery – These were started at $9.99 and they sold for $39.00!
The important thing to remember with Ebay, of course, is that they charged a listing fee of about 10 cents for each item (listing fees recently dropped), and a final value fee of around 6 or 7% I believe (these feels just went up).
All of the items sold this week, the rest of the 10 sold at the $9.99 starting bid. So Cindy’s total gross sales for selling things that were just lying around the house was $152.42!
Once we subtracted out the Ebay fees, she was left with about $135 in net profits! And that’s in just one week.
This definitely proved to us that Ebay works. Cindy’s going to finish up with the things she’s found around the house, and meanwhile I’m going to start looking around for an estate sale to go to. If people are willing to pay this much for regular household items – imagine what they’ll be willing to pay for really valuable stuff!
