The Internet - A Work at Home Revelation

April 12th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58

Some of you may have chosen to work at home running a small business that isn’t computer or Internet-related. That’s great! You have been able to translate your skills into a market niche that is providing you a steady income. With the Internet, people are learning to make money - even while they sleep - and finding a healthy return on their investments.

The Internet has redefined what work at home really means. Not only can we conduct simple e-commerce, but we can also profit from an area that grows virtually everyday - simply surfing the Web. The Web grows by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pages per day - so why not take advantage of a growing marketplace?

So, what are some of the main Internet work at home opportunities? We’ll take a quick look at four of the primary areas people like yourself are making money with Internet work at home opportunities:

* E-books / White papers - Type in a subject on the search engine and you are probably going to find someone who has written an e-book or white paper on the topic. Buyers build their work from business by selling these e-books and white papers around the clock to people all over the world. It is as simple as having a good book written, marketing it on the Internet with a dedicated sales page, and making the sales. This can be a great passive work at home opportunity for someone who finds the right niche at the right time.

* Affiliate marketing - Websites that provide products and services to people are constantly on the lookout for people who want to help direct traffic to their products. Many successful work at home entrepreneurs have made a steady income by acting at the traffic funnel to these e-commerce sites. Each time a person clicks through your site and then purchases a product from the parent site - you collect a percentage of that sale!

* Surveys - If you have even a couple of extra hours each day, you can carve out a great work at home side income by doing surveys and participating in focus groups that work through the Internet. The pay structure varies from site to site, but many survey sites boast up to $75 for some of their surveys. If you can do 4 per month, you’ve added $300 to your income.

* Telecommuting - If you aren’t entirely Internet savvy, another way to go in the work at home world is to telecommute. This is essentially doing data processing work from the comfort of your own computer. This can be a great way for parents looking after children to make extra money while caring for the kids. It could range from medical billing to accounting information for companies large and small - and because of the Internet, the information is easily transferable and you can often access company sites from your home computer.

Never has it been easier to work from home using your computer and the Internet. The opportunities are literally endless. Aside from direct marketing opportunities on the Internet, you can also use it as a constant billboard for a different product or service that you might be able to provide. Maybe you build birdhouse, or you are a certified family counselor that can serve clients from your home.

The Internet is an ongoing information source that we can take advantage of for our work at home business. Take the time to learn how it can help you, and instantly you will see the power it has to increase the profit from your work at home business.

Bob Saville has had a great deal of success working from home over the past three years. His website http://www.internetmarketingatoz.com/ helps people find the information they need to start their own successful home business!

Casino Free Bonus — Up To What Extent Is This True?

April 11th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58

Free casino bonuses is a really a buzzword in today’s casino world. Play who is interested in the online casino games and people who play online casino games will be quite familiar with this term at least in the recent past. Before exactly going into the details of these free casino bonuses, we should see why online casinos are getting popular day by day.

The main thing lies in the legal norms. An online business is definitely less affected when compared to the physical ones and hence the margins are high in the online versions. So, here the businesses are happy to share a bit of their profits with the players to get ahead of competitors. Hence arises the scenario of casino free bonus in the online games.

Online casino bonuses can be classified into some categories. Bonuses without any deposit, Bonuses with first deposit reward and the bonuses associated only with poker rooms. All these three types along with some other variations are equally popular in the online casino world.

Mainly the new entrants into the market will use the first type. They will just give bonus freely. How ever, the amount will be released only after you make at least one legitimate deposit. But you can use the bonus amount to play on the same casino. This is certainly fair enough.

The second type of bonus is a bit more popular and it easily attracts players. Here the company offers bonus in two forms. The first one is in terms of cash and the second one is in terms of the percentage. Both are just two logical views. If seen closely they seem to be very same.

The third type is more popular among the casinos, which are already established. Here you have to play a minimum number of games before you actually get some bonus.

Hence all the types are definitely legal. However, you should be knowledgeable about them before going to opt for any one of those bonuses. This helps you in getting what exactly you are looking for from that casino.

Don’t Let The Wind… Blow Your Game Away

April 11th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58

Sure it’s nice to head out to the golf course on a beautifully tranquil day where it’s easy figure your yardages and be confident in your club selection. Unfortunately, however, Mother Nature isn’t always so accommodating and you’ll find yourself having to deal with a bit of wind.

When you’re up against a windy day on the golf course, if you let it affect your attitude, you’re going to be in for a long day. Many players do and are. You, however, should not let this happen. First of all it does your golf game no good, and secondly, if your playing partners bowing to the wind, then all the better for you to collect on the nassau.

The basic golf shot that enters the conversation when talking about playing in the wind is the knockdown shot.

There are a couple of basic keys to the knockdown shot.

The first is that the hands have to remain ahead of the clubhead through the swing. So at your address, move the ball slightly further back in your stance. The knockdown golf shot is not a ‘full swing’ type of shot. It is a control shot. In fact, with knockdown shots you’ll want your finish position to be lower and not fully completed.

The second key is based upon the first.

Since the knockdown shot is not a full swing you’ll want to take and extra club or two in order to (a) take the loft off of what would be your normal shot and (b) get the distance you want with a lower ball flight and easier non-full swing.

The tailwind - Playing a hole with a good tailwind is a favorite scenario for many. Keep in mind however, when it comes to playing in the wind… control is the key word.

A tailwind certainly adds distance and carry to your golf shots, and will help keep your shots straighter, but remember it also adds roll. And if we’re talking about an approach shot into the green, the tailwind is going to take the backspin off of your shot and subsequently your ball won’t check nearly as tidy when it hits the green. So, factor in not only the distance, but roll as well.

The headwind - now you’ve made 180 and you’re heading back into the same wind that was just at your back. Now is when the knockdown becomes your friend and ally. Remember, play the ball back in your stance (keeping your hands ahead of the clubhead), take more club, and swing easy and under control.

The crosswind - the crosswind or the quartering wind is the most difficult to deal with. This type of wind will magnify the spin and shape of your shot. If your flight is shaping the same direction, think distance and roll but, if you’re going to shape your shot back into the crosswind add extra yardage to your calculation.

Given these two mirroring results, you can see that a crosswind can produce greatly varying distance. Because of this great variance, you’ll want a strategy that takes advantage of the wind.

If your distance is open ended you’ll probably want to shape your golf shot to work with the wind and get the most distance you can. If, however, you’re hitting your approach to the green, you’ll want to shape your shot back into the crosswind so your ball will land softer on the putting surface.

In summary, the key to wind play is control.

Remember, a solidly struck golf ball will be less affected by any wind as opposed to one that takes flight with a side spin.

Be confident when playing in the wind, ratchet your swing back a couple of notches and think about a nice smooth rhythm with solid contact.

If you are using Windows Operating System and did not use Proxy to connect to the internet, then search for the ‘hosts’ file or if you use Windows XP and use Windows XP standard installation, you can find the file at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

These file used as a mapping site URL to your localhost IP.

You can use this trick to block sites access and also blocking ads sites, so you can surf the internet faster.

For example, if you want to block library.monx007.com site, just add the codes below at hosts file:

127.0.0.1 library.monx007.com

Save the hosts file, then open your favorite browser and point to library.monx007.com. Your browser will displat a blank screen as the result

Another example:

127.0.0.1 us.a1.yimg.com

127.0.0.1 www.google.com

127.0.0.1 www.doubleclick.net

127.0.0.1 monx007.com

127.0.0.1 games.monx007.com

127.0.0.1 shop.monx007.com

This tips can be used at other operating systems, (such as Linux, Unix), as long as you know where the file hosts located

The Value of Hotel Search Engines

April 10th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58

How much time do you spend on the road? Do you happen to be one of those businessmen or businesswomen who are always away? Or are you the average American who hits the road once a year for the annual family vacation? No matter how often you travel, I suppose you would need some decent lodging. Thus, you need to spend some time online surfing the Internet for the best hotel and lodgings deals. I have no idea how people did that in the past. I suppose everyone was really lucky if they managed to book a hotel room at a reasonable rate before their arrival.

As we have the Internet now we no longer should settle for motel hells and lodgings that overcharge you for a dirty closet of a room. Fortunately, there are the hotel search engines available nowadays. If you take advantage of this technology you will find the ideal accommodation for your holiday or business trip.

Did you plan your last vacation with the help of hotel search engines? The Internet has so much to offer to the common people. Thus, I cannot help but loving it. Even the middle-class families like mine can use hotel search engines to find the best deals. It is not only for the aristocrats and celebrities, it is for everyone.

The World-Wide-Web can help us with our travel arrangements. Anytime I have to go somewhere I use hotel search engines. I like to choose a certain destination and get lots of results regarding the area and all accommodation options available. I check each hotel’s own website and see how the rooms look and check the hotel’s surrounding area. I even get informed if the hotel has a swimming pool or a Jacuzzi.

Many hotels also provide virtual tours which help you see all the necessities. Thus, you would know if the hotel meets your requirements or not. Moreover, you will also have the opportunity to check the lodging’s exact location, so you could choose whether you want it to be in a downtown area or not.

Is it time for your big family vacation? If you are planning to hit the road, then you should ensure your lodging now. Don’t wait until the last minute to book a hotel room.

Hop online and make your reservation now through the hotel search engines. Have everything arranged before you leave home. You would never regret taking advantage of hotel search engines. Using them you will have more time to be with your family and enjoy your vacation. Apart from that, hotel search engines will save you some money.

Five Fantastic Ways To Boost Your Website Traffic

April 9th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58
Add to Technorati Favorites

If you own your own website you know that one of the main things you need is good website traffic. If no one knows your website is there and no one visits it, then how will you make the sales you need to or get enough clicks through to your affiliate program?

The first way to boost your targeted website traffic is article marketing. For article marketing you either need to write your own articles or get someone to write articles for you that you can add your resource box to. Your resource box includes your name and a short advert for your website. If your articles are well-related to your website then the people who read your articles will also be interested in what you have to offer on your website and so will probably click through using the link in your resource box. You should post these articles to as many article directories as possible so that people see it. By adding your articles to article directories you also allow other people to print these articles on their websites so long as they still have your resource box and so your website is advertised all over the internet. Once you have posted your articles to the article directories there is nothing else you really need to do (besides maybe write more articles) and the marketing will continue by itself.

The second method to boost your website traffic is forum marketing. Search for forums on Google to do with the subject of your website and then see whether you can answer the questions people are asking on that forum or offer any other helpful advice that is on topic to their discussions. If you build trust with the people in the forums and use your website link in your forum signature then people will get interested in what you have to say and so will follow your link to your website.

Another very popular way to boost your website traffic is by using viral marketing techniques. Viral marketing techniques are where you give away something to people who visit your website (or through join venture giveaways) with your advert in it and then encourage them to give it away to others. By getting others to give away your products you are greatly increasing your advertising efforts and will attract many more people to your website than you could do alone.

A fourth method you could use to boost your website traffic is by advertising in Yahoo or Google email groups. These groups send emails on specific subjects to people who are interested in the subject. Some of these allow you to also post to the group and this is where you can advertise your product. Before posting though take a look at what kind of information the group is receiving, you don?t want to make your post too “salesy” if others are posting useful information, discussions or problems. If this is the case rather give them the help they need or more information as you would do in an article and then add your website link in your signature. The secret again is to build trust and get people interested in what you have to offer and to post as often as you can, preferably every day.

Another fairly popular way too boost your website traffic is to use traffic exchanges. This method unfortunately has the disadvantage that it is not a targeted advertising method so the quality of your traffic is not as good or as likely to buy your product but it does get people to see your website. There are two types of traffic exchanges - autosurf and manual surf. The best one to use to get website traffic that actually sees your page is the manual surf option, however it is much easier to get credits to advertise your site on the autosurf traffic exchange as you can “set it and forget it”. To combine the effectiveness of these two methods I would recommend finding an exchange that offers both and a conversion method. You may then work up points using the autosurf option and then convert these into manual credits so that other people will see your website when they manual surf.

Boosting your website traffic is vital to any online business and these are five methods that you can use to do this. The more targeted the traffic that comes to your website, for instance through the first three methods the better. Start today using article marketing, forum marketing, viral marketing, email groups and traffic exchanges to boost your website traffic.

Franfurt Germany Tour

April 9th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58
Add to Technorati Favorites

Frankfurt is one of Germany’s important cities, being the biggest international financial and trade center of Europe. It’s famous for it’s skyline - a line of towering skyscrapers which is mostly consisting of banks and other financial institutions. Frankfurt is better known in the country as Frankfurt am Main, since there are 2 cities which are named the same. Main is the river which flows through the city thus the source for the city skyline’s nickname Mainhattan.

The metropolis of Frankfurt is not that big. You can easily tour the main attractions in 1 day. But as most cities in Germany, it’s normally divided into 2 attractions, the old and the new city. Unfortunately, due to the fact that Frankfurt was heavily bombed during WW2, there’s not much left of the old city, but still something worth seeing.

OLD CITY

The Roemer - Frankfurt’s city hall

One of the most important historical old buildings, housing the election of the former German kings and emperors during the early times. Since 1405, it has been used as the city hall. The area where the Roemer is, the Roemerberg, offers a surrounding of beautiful old houses, used nowadays as stores and restaurants.

The Kaiserdom - Emperor’s Cathedral

As the name says, the Emperor’s Cathedral. This church was used as the venue of the coronation of the new emperor or king. In front of this church is an archaeological finding of an ancient sauna used by the Romans when they were colonizing the area.

Paulskirche - Paul’s Church

This church was built during the end of the 18th century. From damages during the war, it was rebuilt in the mid 20th century and considered one important attraction of the old city.

Goethe’s House

Frankfurt is the home of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, one of the world’s most famous poets. The house of Goethe is located in the inner city and is open for public viewing. The Goethe Museum is just right next to it, housing a very rich Goethe collection.

A Walk Crossing the River Main

From the old city, you can walk down to the river then cross a pedestrian bridge called Eiserner Steg (iron bridge). From the other side of the bridge, you can properly see the skyline. The road parallel to the river is called Museumufer - Museums on the river bank - lining up a variety of museums. You can walk more until you arrive at another pedestrian bridge called Holbeinsteg. After crossing that bridge, look for the Nizza Garden. This garden is unique because it contains tropical plants and palms in an open German climate.

The NEW CITY

This won’t be that difficult to find, just follow the new buildings. Towering banks and offices is a sight you won’t miss in Frankfurt. Some bank buildings are combining both new and old architecture. You would see for example Dresdner Bank having an old building and two skyscrapers next to it. Around the new city, you can see modern arts like the hammering man and the inverted necktie, representing the city’s trademarks, banking and trading.

Shopping in Frankfurt

There are several good shopping opportunities in Frankfurt but probably the most famous area to shop is the Zeil. If you’re going for posh shopping then Goethestrasse is the right one for you. This street is lined up with boutiques from Chanel to Tifanny & Co.

Enjoy your stay in Frankfurt!

Short sales have become so mainstream in some markets, such as this region of central California, that during March he and the developer behind the complex began promoting these properties’ status as re-priced “short sale” homes - homes priced below what the seller owes on their mortgage - in order to lure skeptical, price-conscious buyer

Links Directory - What Users Want

April 9th, 2008 by chillisurfboards58
Add to Technorati Favorites

First things first, I have to admit I’m more of a songwriter than a webmaster. Actually, I’m just a songwriter who happens to own a website. Therefore, I decided to save whatever little experience I have as a webmaster for another article and write about links direcotries from the prespective of an average internet user instead. Just think about it, if you are someone surfing the net for that specific piece of information you badly need, would a huge links directory full of different categories and sub-categories help?

No!! I’d rather use a search engine like Yahoo! or Google. Big links directories like dirspace, axeq or ODP have a number of very serious drawbacks from a user point of view. First, their search scripts are not very powerful. Sometimes, you search for something in the directory and you don’t find it, not because it is not there but because the directory search script just doesn’t cut it. Second, most of these links directories are designed to be useful for search engine ranking, meaning that they are more search engine friendly than user friendly. This may be the reason why websites’ description in these directories are not that informative; the URL submitter will only bother writing a key word rich description, and the directory administrator is just too busy to check. And the result? Misleaded user!! Finally, even if the links directory is very deep and full of many sub-categories, it will always be impossible to construct enough categories to cover all subjects in a comprehensive and useful manner. For example, a user will not just look for a music website or even a songwriting website, he/she probably wants a “songwriting tips” website because he is having writer’s block. How many links directories offer a “songwriting tips” sub-category? One out of the thirty I checked!! As a result, the user will end up either searching through piles of unorganized links or wasting his/her time all together without coming up with the information he/she wants.

So..!?!!

I think that the third problem is the most important one. This is the greatest obstacle I faced as a user; I just can’t find the category that fits the topic I want to read about. There is only one way to solve this problem; which is building “Special-Interest Directories”. These are simply directories that list websites covering a certain subject. “Special-Interest Directories” have the chance of covering a certain topic deeply and comprehensively. A user would go directly for an “Internet Marketing” directory and will be successful finding a webpage about writing text ads for example. That user saved a lot of time and effort and actually got what he/she wanted. Also, “Special-Interest Directories” are not going to be cluttered with lots of categories and sub-categories like big links directories. Moreover, they will be more user oriented than search engine oriented since the administrator had built them while having the concept of serving internet surfers in mind.

A special-interest links directory is bound to send real, targeted traffic to the webpages it lists. But that’s only if the URL submitters would write meaningful description and only if the directory administrator care enough to check if the descriptions they are offered truly reflect the webpage content. Personally, I thought it would be a great way to serve both my fellow songwriters and my fellow webmasters by building a “Music & Songwriting Links Directory”. This offers webmasters who run music and songwriting websites a way to increase their traffic and at the same time offer musicians and songwriters a nice source of information.

Visit the “Songwriting & Music Links Directory” (http://www.songwritingfever.com/resources/songwriting-links/) and add your link. Also, don’t forget to build your own special-interest directory to cover your own field of expertise…Let’s make the internet a better and more helpful place!!

Video Game Addiction Equals Babies Starving

Young couple accused of neglecting young children to surf the Web and play computer video games.

In Reno, Nevada a couple authorities say were so obsessed the the Internet and computer video games that they left babies starving, suffering other health problems have pleaded guilty to child neglect.

Michael and Iana Straw had two children, a girl ll months old and a boy 22 month old. Authorities found these two children very malnourished and near death last month after social working took them to a hospital. According to prosecutor Kelli Ann Viloria the children are doing much better, gaining weight and are in foster care.

“Michael Straw, 25, and Iana Straw, 23, pleaded guilty Friday to two counts each of child neglect. Each faces a maximum 12-year prison sentence.”

According to prosecutor Viloria the couple was too distract by online computer video games, namely the fantasy role playing “Dungeons & Dragons” series, to give their children proper care.

“They had food; they just chose not to give it to their kids because they were too busy playing video games,” Viloria told Reno’s local publication.

The status of the Children when found.

When police found the girl and took her to the hospital the staff there had to shave her hair because it was matted with cat urine. “The 10-pound girl also had a mouth infection, dry skin and severe dehydration.”

The brother was also treated for starvation as well as a genital infection, because of a lack in muscle development he had difficulties walking, investigators say.

The father, “Michael Straw is an unemployed cashier, and his wife worked for a temporary staffing agency doing warehouse work, according to court records.”

Michael received $50,000 from inheritance that “he spent on computer equipment and a large plasma television, authorities said.”

American Medical Association ponder Video game addiction

“While child abuse because of drug addiction is common, abuse rooted in video game addiction is rare, Viloria said.”

Last month, doctors at an American Medical Association dismissed having video game addiction as a mental disorder, stating more research need to be done. Some argued it was like alcoholism while other felt there was solid evidence that is was a psychological disease.

It is hard to know whether or not video game addiction is a true psychological disorder. It is very possible, seeing people pull all nighters playing computer video games, pausing only to use the bathroom, not even eating is problem in this writers mind.
